STOP Nuclear Plants BEFORE Huge Quake Strikes!

It was just a co-incident. I was doing research on the Internet for my new job... a writer for Japanese gossip magazine, and I hit one special page, and got to know...

Very old nuclear power plant is working on the right center of siesmetic area of anticipated huge earthquake, Tokai Quake.

Of course, both electricity company runiing this plant, Hamaoka Plant, and Japanese government are insisting the safety of this plant. However, there is NO example case in the world at all that Nuclear Plant was struck by huge earthquake like M8 or greater. Anticipating Tokai Quake would be M8 or greater in electric scale due to the past historical record. Nevertherless, this particular plant is already being in operation for more than 25 years, and has been repeatedly reported small incidents and forced to stop for maintenance. So, if the huge quake strikes this old plant...

There are lawsuits asking Chubu Denryoku, who owns and operates this Hamaoka plant, to stop operating Hamaoka Nuclear Power plant.（Group of plaintiff's Home page is here - Only in Japanese). Sadly enough, there are only less than 2000 members of plaintiff's group currently, and is too few to change government's policy.

Japan is the only country in the world having experience of being attacked by atomic bombs. It's not a good joke to strike back with radioactivity to the world. See This Page (English Summary is available - Thanks Prof. Kawamoto) for details, but the Tokai Quake is quite imminent, and if it happens later in time, more and bigger energy will be exploded.

If quite big size of Nuclear Plant accident occured by huge quake, radioactivity will go around the world. Just remember Chernobyl case back in 1986. Hamaoka Plant has more power than Chernobyl plant. So if it happens, not only Japan will die, but whole world will be affected. This is not a small problem decided inside the small island country, but should be discussed by whole world. That is why I make these pages available in English, and let everyone in the world know what's going on.
