You can help us from catastrophy. Japanese goverment has very strange behavior. They don't hear their domestic people's voice much, but is very sensitive for foreign critics. We called it 'Gaiatsu', literaly means 'outer pressure'. Please let your media report what's going on in Japan.
Tell TV network, wire service, newspaper, perodical, magazine, radio station, newsletter, E-zine, publishers, editors, producers, just a name of few. Everything public will do. Even small local media will make influence to Japanese government. Believe me. It's much much more effective than thousands of us local Japanese folks' protest.
Facts are:
- Tokai earthquake is approaching. History tells us that there have been huge quakes repeatedly occured every 150 years or so in this area. This is 148th year from last quake.
- If comes, it should be M7 or greater in scale due to the estimated stored energy underground.
- Hamaoka Nuclear Power Plant is located right in the center of anticipated siesmetric area of Tokai quake.
- There is NO Nuclear Plant in the world directly struck by huge quake like M7-M8 in scale.
- 4 units are installed at Hamaoka plant, and 5th unit is coming.
- All 4 units are currently (as of November, 2002) not in operation for maintenance of minor failures, but both Chubu Denryoku (owner) and Government want them to re-start them ASAP.
- There is no power shortage in Shizuoka area reported without operation of this plant.
- Once the accident occured, something similar to Chernobyl case, all central Japan area, from west of Kanto area through east of Kansai area, will be suffered by radioactivity, thus Japan will be dead.
